Yoon Chee Kuen

Yoon is an architect who has the passion and strives for translating unique concepts to functional buildings whilst fulfilling the client’s brief and requirements to successful completion.

He had graduated in 1993 from the University of Newcastle in Australia and proceeded to work with RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers Pte Ltd in Singapore where he helped envision the iconic Capital Towers at Tanjong Pagar.  e had also participated in design winning competitions for Keppel Bank in Singapore and the Information Technology Park in Bangalore India.

After his stint of three years in Singapore, he decided to return to Malaysia to plant his roots and participate and contribute to the burgeoning Architectural scene as Malaysia headed towards developed nation status in the new millennium. He worked with Ekovest-KMZ-Dragages Construction to help construct the KL Sentral Station transportation hub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Upon completion of the project, Chee Khuen continue to pursue his passion for railways and spent three years to complete the first  Electrified Double Track train project in Malaysia which stretched from Rawang to Ipoh. He completed this phase of his carrier by refurbishing the landmark Ipoh Railway Station to modern standards.

From 2006 to 2014, he had worked and lead on a multitude of projects such as Proton Centre of Excellence and Taylor’s University (PAM Gold Medal award winning project) with NWKA Architects and the award winning Icon Residence Condominium at Mont Kiara with IDS Team Sdn Bhd.

He is currently completing the Damen Mall in Subang Jaya which will provide the residents with the latest in commercial shopping experience.
